It is the 10th anniversary of the North Words Writers’ Symposium this week in Skagway. KHNS caught up with Alaska writers from the symposium’s faculty to hear some “north words” from the source.
Ernestine Saankalaxt’ Hayes was Alaska’s writer laureate from 2016-2018. Her first novel, Blonde Indian, won an American Book Award.
