Thanks for tuning in and supporting KHNS!

Staff and volunteers have the day off for Labor Day today, so you won’t hear any local updates after the Local News in the morning. But tune in for special holiday programming throughout the day, and a live host for All That’s Jazz in the evening from 8-10pm.

8-10am – The Mainstream – KNBA/Koanic Broadcasting’s replacement for Undercurrents, this show still features contemporary rock and alternative with a highlight on Native American artists

10-11am – Freakonomics – From WNYC, our regular Monday 10am show, “exploring the hidden side of everything” with host Stephen Dubner. This week they continue their series on Artificial Intelligence.

11am-Noon – a Labor Day Music Special from KUFM Montana public radio

Noon-1pm – The World, an hour of national and international news from WGBH/PRX.

1-2pm – Work N’ Music, from independent host Charlie Warren, another hour of Labor Day/Working themed tunes to make you appreciate the day off, or help you get through it!

2-4pm – Another independent producer Paul Ingles also has a Labor Day themed program as part of his “10,000 Good Songs” series

4-5pm – World Cafe rounds out the afternoon with their needle drop Labor Day playlist

5-7pm – All Things Considered from NPR

7-7:30pm – Regular program Living on Earth

7:30-8pm – Regular program Counterspin

8-10pm – All That’s Jazz with host Julie Albright!

KHNS staff and volunteers will be back with regular programming Tuesday, September 5th. The KHNS Local News will air that evening.
