Four candidates have announced they are running for the Haines Borough Assembly. Two assembly seats are up for election – Carol Tuynman and Jerry Lapp will not seek re-election. The four assembly candidates are Richard Clement, Tyler Huling, Brenda Josephson, and Debra Schnabel.
Five candidates are running for four open school board seats. Incumbents Michael Wald and Brian Clay are seeking re-election, and three candidates – Shannon Dryden, Kevin Shove, and Jonathan Wray – are running.
