Haines residents, representatives push back on local government drone use

The use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems, or drones, by the Haines Borough has raised concerns about privacy and local government overreach. Proposed 400-acre timber sale on Chilkat Peninsula raises concerns and questions for Haines Assembly

In September, the University of Alaska began advertising a 400-acre timber sale near Haines. The location of the proposed sale has drawn concerns from the community.
