Troopers cite Haines residents for commercial fishing during closures

Two Haines residents were cited this week, for unlawfully commercial fishing during a closed period.

Hoonah-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited 38-year-old Cody Taylor while fishing on the F/V GE GE. Troopers say Taylor was fishing during a closed period in District 15C, in the Southern part of Lynn Canal. He’s scheduled to appear in court in Haines on July 26.

Twenty-four-year-old Daniel Kendryna was cited for the same, on the F/V Slipstream, in District 11D, in Seymour Canal. He is scheduled to appear in court in Juneau on July 19.
