Thank you to the many supporters who donated to KHNS this year through the Alaska PFD Pick Click Give program. This year, 53 donors gave almost $3,000 to support Community Radio in Haines, Skagway and Klukwan. Your generosity supports the news, entertainment, local music and National programming you love.
This year, the funds we receive from Pick Click Give will support many of the technological updates to our equipment and systems that keep KHNS on the airwaves 365 days a year. We are enhancing the capacity of our internet-based system to forge a better connection for our Skagway DJ’s, and installing new equipment to allow for evening and weekend broadcasts from our Skagway studio. We are also upgrading the quality of of on-air sound with a new digital system that will bring callers into the studio with a seamless telephone link.
We will thank each of you individually once we receive the names of our donors. In the meantime, thank you for your continued support of community radio in the Upper Lynn Canal. We couldn’t do it without you.
