The Skagway special mayoral election is too close to call. 

According to preliminary results released Tuesday evening by the Municipality of Skagway Andrew Cremata has 206 votes and Dave Hunz has 192 votes.

Up to 71 absentee and questioned ballots will be counted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 in Skagway Assembly Chambers. The election results will be certified by the Assembly later that evening. The newly elected official will take office on Monday, March 25, 2019.
