The Skagway Borough assembly voted to begin a shelter in place this week, but they also enacted a practice that may be the first of its kind in the state. The municipality will keep a daily running tally of COVID-19 testing and information on its webpage. That’s following a request from Assemblyman Dave Brena.
The page keeps track of how many people have been tested, whether the tests come back negative or positive, and how many tests are pending. It also lists the total number of tests available to the community. The page also links to all municipal information regarding the virus.
