The Haines Borough Police Department released a security camera image of a suspect from a January 17th theft on the public library. The person’s face is not visible in the black-and-white picture. They are wearing a striped hoodie.
The police ask anyone who recognizes the clothing or stature of the person pictured to contact them at 766-2121.
The library reported $250 in cash stolen on Saturday, January 17th. Police suspect another break-in and theft on the Salvation Army that same weekend is connected to the library theft. The Salvation Army also reported $250 missing.
