Many people testified last thursday at the Haines Borough Assembly meeting. They came to ask that the borough officially request that the Department of Natural Resources change a permitting requirement for the Palmer project. But, a motion to do so was voted down by the assembly. And, a very special boat will stop in Haines on Monday.
People nationwide gathered to remember those who served in our military. We attended the ceremony in Haines. And a passenger plane collided with birds at the Skagway airport on Friday. The plane landed safely and no human was hurt.
