Last week in Haines, the Takshanuk Watershed Council organized an event aimed at promoting harmonious cohabitation with bears. In recent years, the area has dealt with a high number of human-bear encounters. The council’s program presented specially trained dogs who keep bears out of the places they shouldn’t be.
