A 73-year-old Klukwan man was handed a lengthy prison sentence last week for sexually abusing a young family member in 2013.
Haines Borough Police arrested Donald Hotch Sr. in 2017 on charges of sexual abuse of a minor. He pled guilty and was convicted of two felony charges.
Judge Philip Pallenberg sentenced Hotch to 35 years in prison with 10 years suspended and 15 years of probation. During a hearing last Thursday in Juneau District Court, Hotch expressed remorse for his crime. He is currently being held at Lemon Creek Correctional Center in Juneau.
