A Klukwan man was indicted by a Juneau grand jury on two counts of sexual abuse of a minor last week.
Seventy-year-old Donald Hotch Sr. faces two felony charges for sexual abuse of an 11-year-old on the same day in 2013. One is an unclassified felony, the most serious type of crime under state law. The other is a class B felony.
Hotch was arrested by Haines Police in Klukwan on a $20,000 warrant from the Alaska State Troopers last Thursday. He was arraigned in Juneau Superior Court the following day. Hotch pleaded not guilty to both charges.
He was appointed a public defender and his next court date, to schedule his trial, is set for March 30 in Juneau.
Hotch is being held on $20,000 cash bail.
