Senator Lisa Murkowski was in Haines this week as the Keynote speaker for the Alaska Outdoor Alliance Confluence. This is an annual summit that brings Alaskans together to discuss policies and trends in outdoor recreation and innovate ways to expand the sector. Following her address, I sat down with the senator alongside Max Graham of the Chilkat Valley News to discuss the conference and other topics, chief among them the trillion dollar infrastructure bill she supported and what it means for the Alaska Ferry System.

[Wilks] Senator Murkowski first addressed the purpose of the Alaska Outdoor Alliance meeting and it’s importance.

Earlier in the day Senator Murkowski had touted her work on the trillion dollar infrastructure bill and the money it secured for the ferry system.
