Haines reported 10 new positive COVID cases Monday evening. Six are symptomatic and four are asymptomatic. Six are community acquired and four are from households who have had at least one positive COVID case. The borough EOC reports 14 people were cleared from isolation over the weekend, bringing the total active case count to 26.
The Haines EOC is urging the public to continue to wash hands, wear a mask, and distance from those outside your own immediate household or bubble. COVID testing is available at the SEARHC clinic in Haines by appointment.
Klukwan is currently reporting zero active cases. The Klukwan EOC reports the Klukwan Clinic will not be open this week. Mrs. Spud will be providing asymptomatic COVID-19 testing in Klukwan on Tuesday (*today*) only this week. Due to the high rate of community transmission, the EOC encourages residents to limit non-essential travel, and in the case of a positive COVID-19 test please notify the Klukwan EOC as soon as possible, so they can assist your household as much as they can.
Skagway is reporting two new cases, for a total of three total active COVID cases.
