Haines’ longtime borough clerk is retiring after 15 years in the position. Haines Assembly moves forward with clerk hire

The Haines borough is on its way toward hiring a new clerk. At a meeting Tuesday, the assembly voted to begin contract negotiations with Deputy Clerk Alekka Fullerton. https://khns.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/15NewClerkwINTRO.mp3 Deputy Mayor and assembly member Stephanie Scott chaired the meeting. “One application was received during the statewide recruitment period and the applicant is deputy clerk Alekka Fullerton. Decision delayed on appointments to Haines Public Safety Commission

Haines’ Public Safety Commission will remain short a few members, for now. The Assembly was set to confirm appointments to the body at a meeting Tuesday.
