The final ballots have been tallied for the 2020 Skagway municipal election. This year there were four candidates in the race for two open seats on the Skagway Borough Assembly. There were three candidates in the election for two open seats on the school board.
In the race for Skagway Borough Assembly, Sam Bass and Reba Hylton received the most votes. Denise Sager and Jason Verhaeghe received the most votes in the election for the school board.
The Borough Assembly will certify the election results at its meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020. Newly elected officials will take office on Monday, October 19, 2020.
