The final ballots have been counted for the 2020 Haines Borough election. The remaining absentee and question ballots that had not been counted on election day were tallied during a canvass Tuesday evening.
Douglas Olerud was elected mayor of Haines. Cheryl Stickler, Caitie Kirby, Jerry Lapp and Carol Tuynman were elected to the Haines Borough Assembly. Tiffany Dewitt, Anne Marie Palmieri, Lydia Andriesen, and Brian Clay were elected to the school board. Proposition 1 passed.
